Hungry: Short Film
VFS Cinematography
For my Vancouver Film School short film, I directed, shot, and edited the piece, using lighting and framing to fully utilize the location and support the tone. I also drew on my directing training to communicate the mood I wanted from the actress. The main challenge was working within tight constraints, but I loved the planning, and I learned how much stronger a film gets when performance, visuals, and edit are designed together from the start.

Laurier Football
Spring Camp Week 1
This Week 1 Spring Camp edit for Laurier Football captures the loose, fun energy of camp. I filmed and edited the piece, and it was my first assignment with football, the university’s largest and most followed team. The main challenge was getting balanced coverage across the whole program, coaches, offense, defense, and special teams, including punters, and shaping it into one cohesive edit.

Laurier Football
Spring Camp Week 2
I filmed the camp and edited it into a fast, high energy highlight with some graphic flair. The toughest part was the weather flipping on me, including snow, so I had to adjust on the fly and still keep everything looking consistent. It taught me how to stay flexible while still delivering a punchy, professional edit.

Laurier vs York:
Men's Basketball Playoffs
This screen work is a cinematic sports highlight made entirely from footage I shot, focused on pace, emotion, and atmosphere. I was the videographer and editor, and my main challenge was integrating the fan “moustache” chant without derailing the momentum. I solved it by cutting the chant into the beat and shaping the rhythm of the sequence around the audio. I learned how sound and crowd moments can drive structure in an edit.

Laurier vs U of T:
Men's Hockey Playoffs
A highlight edit of the Laurier vs. University of Toronto Men’s Hockey playoff game, crafted to feel physical, immediate, and as Canadian as it gets. I was the videographer and editor, and capturing every goal with clean focus on the tiny, fast-moving puck was especially satisfying. The main challenge was balancing the on-ice action with the roaring, ecstatic crowd without losing clarity.

Laurier vs Lakehead:
Women's Basketball
A multimedia recap designed with a bold Laurier colour theme and high energy pacing. I worked as the cinematographer and editor. The main challenge was shooting on a new camera for the first time, so I had to adjust exposure, white balance, and camera settings quickly while the environment kept changing. Through that process, I learned how to problem solve under pressure and capture coverage while staying focused.

Laurier vs Waterloo:
Men's Hockey
A cinematic cut from the Battle of Waterloo derby, built entirely from my original game footage and shaped around tension. I w as the cinematographer, editor, and handled special effects. The main challenge was adapting to a one off game at a different, larger venue with more staff, tighter access, and the added pressure of a nationally televised environment. This project strengthened my ability to capture usable coverage under constraints and then craft it into a stylized piece in post.

Laurier vs Windsor:
Men's Basketball
A music driven highlight montage that uses precise musical timing and clean match cuts to turn key moments like movement, contact, and scoring into a single flowing sequence. I served as the cinematographer and editor, and the main challenge was maintaining continuity and rhythm across chaotic live play while still keeping each cut motivated by action and beat.

Laurier Marketing Association Merch Teaser
During my summer term, I filmed skateboarding through city trails, capturing the sky and nature, and cut the footage into a marketing video for LMA’s sky blue crewneck release. I was the editor and helped shape the concept by matching the visuals to the color story and adding a subtle Waterloo nod through an audio clip from Carol layered into the edit. The main challenges were getting stable shots while skating and integrating the audio so it felt organic. I learned how to turn casual footage into a cohesive brand narrative and how sound can quietly anchor a piece in place and mood.

LazCup Teaser : P&G x Omers
LazCup 2023 Teaser is a promo for Laurier’s flagship event, featuring an astronaut “falling” from the Toronto skyline to set a bold, playful tone. I was the editor, shaping the pacing, continuity, and impact. The challenge was executing an ambitious concept with minimal funding and limited resources in a student club setting. Using only green screen and stock footage, I learned to raise production value through smart compositing and disciplined editing.

Las Vegas to Hawaii
This travel video captures my time in Las Vegas and Honolulu, enhanced with animated dancers and a painted brush effect. I handled the key creative roles of cinematographer, editor, and VFX/motion graphics artist using Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator. The main challenge was integrating the After Effects compositing in the first half so the animation felt natural and consistent with the pacing. I learned to plan transitions earlier and use a cleaner motion design workflow to elevate real footage into a more intentional screen work.

DISCOVER Advertisement
During the moodboarding phase of Laurier Marketing’s speaker series campaign, my Co-VP and I found a colourful, translucent 3D metal sphere that matched the flowing visual theme we wanted. I served as the Editor and recreated a similar premium 3D cube look in the final video at 0:55 using only free stock footage, with the main challenge being to replicate an effect that normally cost over a thousand dollars while keeping the branding consistent and polished. Through this process, I learned how to reverse engineer high end motion graphics and make resource limitations work in service of a clear visual identity.

Laurier Marketing Association Merch Ad
While working as Multimedia Manager at LMA, I edited a short merchandise advertisement using footage shot by someone else, and luckily the piece helped the club sell out its merchandise within two days. My key creative role was editing, and the main challenge was shaping a clear, persuasive story and rhythm from material I didn’t shoot, with limited control over coverage and consistency.

DISCOVER Recap
A 1 minute video created from a 4 hour virtual panel featuring marketing specialists from across Canada. I served as the editor, shaping the full recording into a concise Instagram recap for the Laurier Marketing Association’s audience by selecting the most compelling moments and key takeaways. The main challenge was distilling hours of conversation into a clear, engaging story without losing context or misrepresenting speakers, while also keeping the pacing tight for social. Through the process, I learned how to prioritize information quickly, build momentum through structure and rhythm, and make intentional editorial choices that preserve the event’s value for viewers who could not attend.
